The objectives of this component are to:
- identify existing operational functions and practices, training concepts and standards used in Europe to prepare for, respond to and recover from the effects of CBRN events; and
- identify ways in which EU member states and associated countries try to prevent CBRN events from happening, how they detect that an event is occurring and how they discern between real events and hoaxes.
The partners working on this component are UmU – European CBRNE Center, FFI, TNO, King’s College London, FOI, Netherlands Forensic Institute and SGSP. TNO acts as coordinator and is responsible for the work on the operational functions.
